Needless to say, this is something I am really excited about, as well. I have not had the opportunity to test this with a ton of packages, but the packages I have used with Julia 1.9 so far have verified that this is not exclusive to Plots! These include:
- SDL2
- Gadfly
- Plots
- MLDataUtils
- GLM
- Data frames
- andGTK
I found that this reworked precompilation sped up precompilation times for all of these modules! I have also seen other users on Twitter who have had similar experiences. It is incredibly exciting, and sets a new precedent for expectations when it comes to the speed of Julia !
