Introduction

The world of open-source software engineering can often feel like a wasteland. Some projects are disorganized, separated, and can quickly become problematic because often teams aren’t working in tandem to the best of their ability. This is even more true for scientific computing, where often software and studies are session based, and evidence is logged rather than reported.

This of course creates a lot of problems for open-source data scientists and collaboration. Furthermore Data-Science packages have exploded within the past couple of years of ecosystem development. This has shown the cracks in the foundation of a lot of open-source scientific computing, and I think that generalized collaboration might have suffered due to this.

Methodology

As I touched on briefly in the introduction; scientific computing can often be a difficult collaborational effort.
