Oh? Really, it isn't a woke value? According to who? You?? Who is the great arbiter of woke? I'll give you a hint, the people that define the word woke and what it encompasses are probably the same people that use the word woke, not the people who are woke. According to this dictation, you are essentially saying you can redefine woke into whatever you want regardless of what I say about it.

Racism and racist do not mean the same thing, they are not the same word. Whenever politics discusses " racism," this is typically referring specifically to

https://www.edi.nih.gov/blog/communities/understanding-racial-terms-and-differences

From the NIH:

"

Racist:

Someone who believes that other races are not as good as their own and therefore treats them unfairly.xxviii

Racism:

A different from racial prejudice, hatred, or discrimination. Racism involves one group having the power to carry out systematic discrimination through the institutional policies and practices of the society and by shaping the cultural beliefs and values that support those racist policies and practices.xxix

"

Of course racism can be used to describe people being racist. However, in most political contexts racism is used to describe an overwhelming force where one group holds power over another group.

So you're quoting an article that describes racism in this context and definition, very clearly if you actually read the article -- which I am am doubting you did -- honestly I doubt you even read mine, because you seem to have absorbed essentially none of what I was trying to convey. Other people seem to be able to do it fine, so I am not really sure why you are failing to interpret my points and -- even somehow confused about the thesis of the article.

You can also find someone on the internet that believes in anything; that doesn't mean that the majority of people or the majority of people in that group think that one thing. This is the anecdotal fallacy -- most leftists and liberals definitely think it is possible to be racist to white people.

My idea in the article was not to present an argument for " woke", anyway, so this whole argument is irrelevant. The idea of my article was to explain why I think all of these reasons for leaving the left are incredibly underdeveloped and seem to be more of a reactionary response than any ideas actually forming. With basic research into essentially each one, I showed why it was ridiculous to consider that point a driving factor for abandoning all of your political views. Again, I am shocked you couldn't figure that out.

Things are labeled as " woke" or not " woke" at your discretion, thus you could point to any of my points and say " that is woke" -- because " woke" is not a political agenda or political party which has measured policies. " Woke" is an adjective to given to certain policies and ideas in order to dismiss prejudice and create an excuse to not do anything about it. I just said I don't believe it, most liberals definitely do not believe this, as not even most leftists do. Even the ones that you found were simply misinterpreted by you because you did not understand the vocabulary.

You seriously think people weren't saying these same exact types of things when the civil rights movement started? You don't think any anti-civil rights leaders said " I don't care what they do as long as I don't have to see them. As long as they aren't on my T.V. or in my children's schools." That was, in fact, the stance of some pretty prominent anti-civil rights politicians, such as George Wallace. History repeats itself, good job being on the bad side of that coin.
