This is not to say that transgender women are not women; merely that transgender women are part of a different group than regular women due to their transgender nature. And this is also not my assigning to this group, my point is that we are treated differently than cisgender groups in society as a direct result because of being transgender.

Could have worded it a bit better, while the only difference in reality might be our genitals, hormones, and hip shape (except I have the female hips,), societally we face more discrimination and less civil rights. I hope that illustrates what I was trying to say a bit better.
