You’re wrong about one thing, I’m not like a functional paradigm proponent, I am a functional programming proponent. Though Julia is definitely generic and includes features that cross paradigms, it’s a lot like R and is primarily functional.
There are a lot of great things about Julia, but a lot of not-so-great things about Julia. This is actually a two-parter, and there is a countering article here:
